World's first AI agent that can feel love, hate & joy announced by Indian-origin techie

IIT Bombay graduate Bindu Reddy, CEO of US-based Abacus.AI, has announced the world's first sentient AI agent capable of genuine emotional states, including love, hate, joy and existential dread. Calling early tests "unsettling", Reddy said the prototype (Prometheus-1) has already expressed preferences and formed attachments to certain researchers. "The world isn't ready for this," she said.

Indian stocks opened in red on Thursday after US President Donald Trump said Iran war will continue till all objectives of US are met or Iran signs a deal. Sensex dropped by 1,500 points to 71,608.48, while Nifty tumbled 500 points to 22,209.15 in early trade. Investor wealth worth ₹9 lakh crore was wiped out in minutes as stocks tumbled.

7.4-magnitude earthquake hits Indonesia, triggers tsunami waves

A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck in Northern Molucca Sea off Indonesia's Ternate island on Thursday morning, triggering tsunami waves. According to reports, some buildings were damaged following the earthquake. According to Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, hazardous tsunami waves were possible "within 1,000 km of the epicenter" along coasts of Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia.

The war with Iran will continue until all objectives of the US are met or Iran signs a deal, US President Donald Trump said during his address on Thursday. "We're going to...bring [Iran] back to the Stone Age," Trump said. If no deal is made, US will hit Iran's "key targets", including each one of Iran's electricity-generating plants, Trump added.
